At United Abilities, we believe every person deserves the right support to live a meaningful and independent life. That’s why we created Rise & Shine — a tailored NDIS mentoring program designed to help people in Adelaide with intellectual disability, psychosocial disability or autism build confidence, develop essential life skills, and achieve their personal goals.
Rise & Shine is a structured, time-limited NDIS mentoring program that provides personalised support tailored to each participant’s unique goals, strengths, and needs. Together, we co-design a focused plan aimed at achieving meaningful outcomes — all within a dedicated 10 or 12-week timeframe.
At the end of the program, if the participant chooses to continue, we’ll collaborate again to create a new tailored program of support, targeting the next set of goals and building on the progress already made. Each round of Rise & Shine is a step forward in a journey of growth, independence, and confidence.
NDIS mentoring sessions take place in inclusive, community-based locations like local libraries or accessible public spaces, creating a safe and welcoming environment where growth can happen.
Evidence-based research shows that mentoring can:
Whether it’s learning to manage money, build a resume, catch public transport, or simply set and achieve a personal goal — the impact of having a dedicated mentor can be life-changing.
Choose from a 10 or 12-week journey with clear start and end points.
Each participant sets key goals during the initial consultation, and we work closely with them to stay laser-focused on achieving those goals.
Up to 3 sessions per week, tailored to suit each participant’s needs, learning style, capacity, and schedule based on available NDIS funding — ensuring they feel supported, comfortable, and empowered.
No two journeys are the same — support is specific to the individual's aspirations.
We walk alongside you every step of the way — tracking milestones, celebrating your wins, and cheering you on as you grow and achieve your goals.
Whether you’re an NDIS participant, authorised representative or support coordinator, Rise & Shine is a structured NDIS mentoring program designed to deliver measurable outcomes and meaningful progress.
Our team works alongside participants, families and support networks to ensure the experience is engaging, supportive and aligned with each individual’s NDIS goals.
